Demand for o.c.s. products improves significantly in the second half of the year, particularly in the UK. The largest turnover of staff for several decades is experienced, with forty new employees recruited. A story board depicting the 123 year history of Shotton Works has been provided by Tata Steel for a new heritage centre opened by the Quay Watermen’s Association on the River Dee dockside at Connah’s Quay.
